Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 11, 2026
PixKeep (“we”, “our”, “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding the collection and use of information through the PixKeep mobile application (“the App”).
Privacy by Design
PixKeep is designed with a "Local First" approach. Most features, including photo scanning and video compression, occur entirely on your device. We do not upload your media to any servers.
Information We Collect
PixKeep is designed to be as private as possible:
- No Personal Data: We do not require account registration or collect your name, email, or contact information.
- Anonymous Analytics: We may use basic, anonymized telemetry to monitor app stability and performance (e.g., crash reports). This data cannot be traced back to you.
- Device Access: The App requires permission to access your photo library to perform cleanup tasks. This access is only used locally for the purposes you specify.
- Tracking & Advertising Identifiers: Only if you explicitly grant permission via the App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt on your device, we may collect your device's Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) and share anonymized app usage events (e.g., app launch, subscription status) to measure and optimize our marketing campaigns. If you do not grant permission, we do not collect or share this identifier.
Third-Party Services
We may use trusted third-party services for specific functions:
- App Store: Any financial transactions for premium features are handled securely by Apple.
- Analytics: Basic app health metrics may be processed by industry-standard providers (like Firebase or Sentry) to fix bugs.
- Meta (Facebook) SDK: We use the Meta SDK for mobile app analytics and advertising attribution. This helper service measures the performance of our marketing campaigns and helps optimize user engagement. Meta may collect data as outlined in their privacy policy. You can read more about Meta’s data practices or opt out by reviewing the Meta Privacy Policy.
App Tracking Transparency (ATT) & Opt-Out
On iOS, we fully respect the App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework. The App will request permission before tracking your activity across apps and websites owned by other companies.
- Tracking Consent: If you tap "Allow," we enable advertiser tracking within the Meta (Facebook) SDK. This helps us direct our advertising efforts effectively.
- Opt-Out by Default: If you tap "Ask App not to Track," tracking is completely disabled, and no tracking-related data (including IDFA) will be collected or shared by the Facebook SDK.
- No Functionality Restrictions: Declining tracking consent does not limit or restrict your access to any features of PixKeep. You can use the app fully regardless of your tracking choice.
- Changing Preferences: You can enable or disable tracking permissions at any time by going to your iOS device's Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking and toggling the setting for PixKeep.
Data Retention
Because we do not store your personal information or media on our servers, we have no user data to retain or sell.
Children’s Privacy
Our App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect the App's integrity. Since your data stays on your device, its security is also protected by your device's built-in encryption and passcode/biometrics.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy periodically. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page.
